Internship offers
Several
Internship positions are now available at the Hedge Funds Reearch
Institute. The candidates should hold a Master Degree with a background
in any (and ideally several) of the following disciplines: Financial
Mathematics, International Finance, Econometrics, Macroeconomics, or
Information Technology. The duration of the internships is between
three and six months.
The
students will work closely with the researchers of the center in the
projects that we are currently developing. Some examples of especific
tasks that the student can be asked to do (depending on the academic
background) are:
Econometrics:
Perform econometric or statistical test of financial time series.
Financial Mathematics:
Model financial quantities using stochastic calculus or probability
theory and design test or calibration of the models.
International Finance:
Study the flows of foreign portfolio investment and foreign direct
investment and their relationship with the exchange rates.
Macroeconomics:
Inflationary modeling.
Information Technology:
Development of specific tools to implement financial models, (Matlab,
C++, SAS, etc).

The official languages of the Hedge Funds Research Institute are
English and French, and applications in any of these languages will be
equally considered.
Note: Internships are,
by law, not remunerated positions. However, we will eventually consider
the possibility of a special economic compensation for students with
difficulties to finance its living expenses during the internsip
period.
