Mission Statement

The HFRI encourage its member to develop original research in the areas of Mathematics, Finance, and Economics with applications to the hedge fund industry. By bringing together academics, practitioners, and students, the center wants to become an open forum to promote discussion, research, and to create innovative solutions for the hedge fund industry.

Examples of privileged research lines are:

• They are of interest from a practitioner point of view for our sponsors and with immediate applicability for the trading desk.
   
  

• They are cutting-edge subjects with important consequences for the hedge fund industry at a medium or long term, or they develop an innovative and original approach to a theoretical problem.
  

• They help to the understanding of the relationship between the performances of hedge fund trading strategies in different macro economical environments.
  

The HFRI is also committed with and supports the theoretical research at its most fundamental level, as we understand that they are the seeds for the financial framework in the future.
