The Hedge Fund Research Institute is an academic research center located in the premises of the International University of Monaco and is sponsored by Alpstar Management. Its aim is to develop the understanding of the hedge fund industry through research and education.

By bringing together academics, practitioners, and students, the center is promoting discussions, research, comprehension, innovative solutions, and future outlook on the industry.

The members of the Hedge Funds Research Institute are specialist from wide spectrum of different disciplines (Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Information Technology...). The hedge fund industry is becoming more and more complex and we expect to contribute to its development by exploiting the diversity of backgrounds of our researchers through coordinate projects of interdisciplinary research.

The center benefits from state of the art facilities such as a trading room, risk management and econometrics software, various financial databases, etc. Dedicated lines to the ALPSTAR computer center based in Geneva allows for further access to specialized data bases and the sharing of research efforts.
